“Fair Play to Ned’s”
(acrylic and oil on canvas)
"Fair Play to Ned's" is my tribute to a wonderful wee restaurant tucked up in the Rockies. What a lovely little hideaway for all of us mountain folk. Huzzah for Ned’s!!!

“Sacred Heart Chakra”
(acrylic and oil on canvas)
Following my Ned’s time lapse, I felt inspired and motivated to do another one super quickly. I love Nederland...no bones about it. I've loved her for well over a decade and now almost 2 years living close by in Gilpin County. As such, I am in that awesome little town quite a bit. And, as such, I have developed quite the affinity for many businesses there. Such as Tres Gringos Mexican restaurant for instance. Although they haven't been around for as long as some locals, this cantina and restaurante are truly delicious and wonderfully badass. Such incredible food, delectable margaritas, and the staff is incredimazing.
That's why they needed their own painting, too.
So, please enjoy this time lapse of "Sacred Heart Chakra" and be sure to get into Tres Gringos for something tasty ASAP!!!

“Peak to Pizza”
(acrylic and oil on canvas)
It's my "Love of all things Nederland" period lately artistically and I couldn't be happier. What can I say? I love that quirky-ass, crazy fun, wild and woolly Colorado hamlet so much. The people are marvelous, the culture fantastic, and all the restaurants and business cool as hell!!! So, that's why Backcountry Pizza had to be next on my list for some time-lapse Arting and for their very own wee painting. Since I had a massively delicious meal from these very peeps last night, this was way easy to paint. The right inspiration is everything, no?
I really hope you enjoy "Peak to Pizza" as much as I enjoyed eating Backcountry's pizza and then painting it!

“Railroad Snacks”
(acrylic and oil on canvas)
Well, it's pretty much official now...I am addicted to the town of Nederland, Colorado as a Muse and inspiration for my painting. How couldn't I be? Anyone who knows Ned knows that to Love Ned is to really Love Ned. So much quirk, so much wacky. So much awesome. And then there is The Vegetable Express, quite possibly my favorite place to catch some grub in the entire town, and that is among MANY strong other faves. As such, I so had to paint them a wee something for being so insanely baller. Especially since they are reopening this weekend after a brief hiatus. Damn....sofa king exited!!
"Railroad Snacks" is my tribute to The Vegetable Express for the countless unreal meals at festies and in Ned, proper. Plus, the BEST people. EVER. Truly. What can I say? I LOVE The Vegetable Express!!!!

“Future on the Breeze”
Time for a new canvas, everyone!! This time the painting is for none other than The Dandelion Dispensary down in Boulder! I've been a very happy patient of theirs for a long time now and I wanted to show my gratitude for their splendid care over the years through some Art. So, here we have "Future on the Breeze", an expression of Hope and Joy.
Please enjoy this painting, my friends. And, again, a huge thanks to all the wonderful people at The Dandelion!! Big hugs!!

“Keefin’ It Real”
(acrylic and oil on canvas)
This time I chose to feature a favorite edible, well drinkable, of mine for a long time now...Keef Cola!!! What tasty, fun, delectable drinks these fine folks make. As such, I wanted to do a new painting and time lapse in their honor!! Woot!
Additionally, my marvelous and magnificent good lady wife, Jenny Boykin Roe, collaborated with me on this one. Thank you so much, my love!!
I hope you enjoy "Keefin' It Real" as much as I enjoy a yummy Keef Cola!!

“Arbolito de Vida”
(acrylic and oil on canvas)
So, after a recent lovely, lovely visit to my local neighborhood IgadI in Nederland, it was very obvious to me what I needed to to: an IgadI painting and time lapse!! Such amazing staff and tasty product, I always love shopping there.
"Arbolito de Vida" (acrylic and oil on canvas) is my humble take on the cannabis plant and its role as a small tree of life for so many. Super fun to paint this one...really enjoyed the colorplay and the way it all tied together. I hope you do, too.
Mad ups and thanks to the fine folks at IgadI!!! You peeps rock!!! See you again soon, I am sure!!
